Robinson
Willlie Truitt Robinson, age 90, of Liberty passed away April 15, 2017 at the Webb House Retirement Center in Smithville. He was a Veteran of the Navy, Korean War, and WWII. Mr. Robinson was also a rural mail carrier for 40 years and member of Salem Baptist Church.
He was born June 27, 1927 in Liberty to his parents J.W. and Shellie Cooper Robinson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Edward and one sister, Melodia.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of almost 67 years, Margie Smithson Robinson, children, Vickie (Mike) Williams of Alexandria, Donna (Jim) Arnette of Smyrna, and Phillip (Susan) Robinson of Liberty; grandchildren, Tara (Joe) Beck of Madison, WI, Bryan Evans of Rockvale, Gwen (Clay) Dyer of Murfreesboro, Lauren (Travis) Keeton of Soddy Daisy, and Caitlin (Kalahan) Potter of Lebanon; great-grandchildren, Collin, Drew, Alex, Miriam, Nate, Arron, Ethan, Lexi, Lilly Belle, Lydia, Knox and Brooks; brother, Robert Robinson of Liberty; sisters, Lena Rhody of Smithville, Jessie Lee Vanatta of Liberty, Bertha McBride of Smithville, and Lavelle Turner of Alexandria. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral service was held April 18, 2018 at Salem Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Brown officiating. Burial followed in Salem Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Austin Rhody Jr, Jim Rhody, Randy Rhody, Joe Carter, Charles Robinson, Mitch Robinson, Brian Robinson, Jerry Vanatta, Ronny Turner and David Turner.
Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria, was in charge of the arrangements.
