Memorial services for Auston Corley Wood, 27, of Smithville, were held Oct. 4 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

Pastor Dwayne Cornelius officiated.

He passed away Sept. 30 at his residence.

Auston was the son of the late Hugh Wood and Cindy Stobart of Gassaway.

He was self-employed and a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Stacey Wood of Smithville; children, Kaitlyn Wood, Bauss Wood, Adam Hicks and Legend Wood all of Smithville; mother, Cindy Stobart of Gassaway; brother, Billy (Angie) Smart of Texas; father and mother-in-law, Shane and Michelle Walker of Smithville; sister-in-law, Kelley Walker of Smithville.
