There are so many sick who need our continued prayers: Georgia Hawker, Nonnie Tramel, Suzanne Williams, Tony Thompson, Jerry Foster, and Brenda Cantrell. We were saddened to hear of the passing of a young man, Chanson Boman, who worked for the school system in the technology department. He had a reputation of being a kind, quiet, considerate young man. Our prayers are with his family and friends.
Dry Creek Baptist Church observed their Thanksgiving meal last Wednesday night. It was wonderful as always. Upcoming events at Dry Creek Church are the following: Dec. 2 Adult 2 Sunday School Class and Choir Christmas dinner, Dec. 17 Christmas Drama and Music with Christmas dinner, Dec. 20 Christmas Tree and exchanging of gifts, and on Dec. 24 Celebrate the Birth of Jesus, Everyone Welcome.
It is almost Thanksgiving time - the time we really stop to remember what a blessed people we are. Sometimes our situation and worries tend to take over, but God has all of this covered with his unmeasurable love. We are thankful to God for church, family and friends that take such good care of us all during the year. They are truly a blessing.
No matter how hard the questions or the situation, His mercies are new every morning.
Lamentations 3: 22 (NIV) - 22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.
