To the Editor,
How do we help?
That was the question driving the 2 COVID-related Resolutions passed by the DeKalb County Commission in December.
Information shared in committee by local Health Professionals and Emergency Personnel on the toll the COVID Pandemic is having on frontline workers and the people of our County was alarming, sobering.
How do we help?
Then it hit. Do the thing Health Care professionals across our county, state, and nation have been begging us to do for months:
Wear a mask.
That is why the 2 Resolutions passed by the DeKalb County Commission last month not only recognize the service and sacrifice of our frontline workers, but include a call and commitment to action.
That is why your DeKalb County Commission & Mayor Tim Stribling made a public commitment to wear masks at all meetings and in public settings.
Our way to show solidarity with our frontline workers.
Our commitment to do what we can to ease their burden during the Pandemic.
Our effort to keep the people of DeKalb County safe.
The load is lightened when it is shared.
DeKalb CARES.
Sincerely,
Beth Pafford
