The Tiger Baseball team traveled to Trousdale County Thursday for a double header against the Yellow Jackets, recording back-to-back wins of 12-0 and 3-2.
The Tigers played with great determination to bring home a win. The first game of the night, the Tigers played great defense and kept the opponents from scoring any runs, wrapping up the first game with a score of 12-0. The boys won in a mercy rule in the fifth inning.
The second game of the night, the Yellow Jackets played their ace pitcher while DeKalb had ace Steven Jennings on the mound. He went six innings on the mound for the Tigers and gave up two runs on four hits. He struck out fivw and walked one.
The Tigers scored three runs on four hits to earn the win. Trousdale County scored two runs on four hits.
DeKalb played a double-header Monday night on their home-turf against York Institute. Scores were not available at press time.
The Tigers are set to host Warren County on March 23 and Central Magnet on March 27. Games start at 5 p.m.
