The DeKalb West School Bulldogs baseball team kept up their winning ways last week with a couple of wins against Algood. The first game saw DeKalb command a 15-1 victory, while the second claimed a 4-2 win.

Taylor was back at the plate and hit a double on a line drive to left, sending Moore home. Algood would get off the field, but DWS held a 14-0 lead.

Algood managed just one run in the game, scored on an error by the catcher in the third inning, but DWS would cap off the game at the bottom of the fourth with a run by Maddux Pyburn. The game would go to the top of the fifth, but the Bulldogs would claim the 15-1 victory.

Preston Taylor earned the win from the mound, giving up one run over three and a third innings, striking out nine and walking five. Collin Donnell ended the game with the save.

In the second game, the Bulldogs took the early lead in the second inning, and held on in a much closer game.

Cathey was up next and doubled on a fly to right as Fortner touched the plate. The Bulldogs were up, 3-0.

DWS would score one more run at the top of the third after Moore singled on a ground ball to third. Taylor would then reach on a fly and an error at second, as Moore came home. The Bulldogs were up 4-0.
