A barrage of late 3-pointers by Warren County in the fourth quarter was too much for DeKalb County to overcome.

Going into the fourth quarter ahead 30-27, the Lady Tigers saw their lead evaporate when the visitors hit three 3-pointers in the final eight minutes.

Warren County was able to play keep away once it took the lead, extending possessions and limiting the Tigers' ability to score.  Struggles at the free-throw line - DeKalb County shot 3-of-8 at the charity stripe in the fourth quarter - compounded the issues.

Despite the late rally by Warren County, the Lady Tigers had plenty of positives.

Emma Colwell and Mallori Hurt helped the Lady Tigers build their lead with impressive offensive displays.

Colwell was locked in from the outside, hitting two 3-pointers in the first  half. Hurt did her damage from everywhere, making strong moves to the basket and spotting up for jumpers.

Mya Ruch added eight points, while Maddison Parsley added an early 3-pointer. Megan Walker rounded out the scoring with a second-quarter layup.

A hotly contested game betweeen border rivals turning into a rout on Monday during one spurt in the third quarter.

Warren County, coming into the game 5-0, used a 13-0 run to turn a small lead into a 20-point cushion. The big spurt helped the Pioneers coast to a victory, and remain unbeaten.

DeKalb County's shooting helped make the first half competitive. The Tigers bombed away from the perimeter, connecting on five 3-pointers - three coming from Austin Johnson.

DeKalb County held a brief lead in the second quarter after a layup from Trey Jones and 3-pointer from Marshall Evins, but the Pioneers regained control with a 10-0 run just before halftime.

Down 37-27 at the break, Jones and Tanner Poss scored quickly to narrow the lead to six before the Pioneers hit four 3-pointers in the span of 90 seconds to ice the game.

Johnson, Evins and Jones led the Tigers with 11 points apiece. Michael Elswick added 8 points, Poss finished with 7, Colter Norris and Isaac Walker chipped in 3 each and Dallas Cook scored 2.
