DCHS Tennis Back in Action

 

The DCHS Tennis Teams resumed play in Warren County on Thursday, April 8, after taking a week off for Spring Break. 

 

The girls team got the win against the Warren County Pioneers, 5-4.  Getting wins in the singles matches were Katie Colwell, Leah Davis, Summer Morse, and Caitlyn Harwell, while Colwell and Davis also won their doubles match. 

 

The boys didn't fair as well as they lost to the Pioneers 2-7.  Getting wins for the boys were Nathaniel Wessel, and the doubles team of Isaac Brown and Brett Walker pulling out the win in a tie-breaker 8-8 (7-5).  

 

Both teams are now three wins and two losses on the season.  The teams have three matches scheduled for next week:  At Cannon County on April 19, at home against Watertown on April 20, and at home against Cannon County on April 22.  All matches start at 3:30, and home matches are played at the courts across from Smithville Golf Course.
