DeKalb 9U Machine Pitch in action

The 9U Machine Pitch League is underway with several games in the books.
On May 15, the Good Health Flatliners faced Headlines Razors in a tough game.
For the Flatliners, Tori Summers and Caroline Tobitt each had one run, while Jailyn King and Elizabeth Reed each touched home twice. Summers and Mackenzie Brindley each had a double, while Skylar Savage had a triple.
Alyssa Pugh scored a run for the Razors, with Lacey England, Courtney London, and Xharia Lyons each getting two. Jacey Hatfield and Mackenzie Sprague each had three runs. England, London, and Gracie Randolff each had a double, while Hatfield had two. Sprague had three doubles, while Taylor had a double and a triple. Lyons had two doubles and a triple.
The Razors took the victory, 13-6.
The DTC Diamond were in action that day, taking on the Johnson Logging Sawdusters.
Annabella Dakas, Aniston Farler, and Bella France each had one run for the Diamonds, with Aly Griffith, Kenlee Taylor, and Morgan Walker each getting two. Cadee Griffith and Madison Martin each had three runs. Dakas, Farler, Griffith, and Taylor each had a double, while France and Walker each had two doubles and a triple.
For the sawdusters, Katherine Knowles and Layla Walker each had runs. Walker had a double.
The Diamonds won, 16-4.
On May 16, the Wilson Bank & Trust Birdwell team faced the Guaranty Trust Tunks team.
For Birdwell, Hannah Eaton and Gracie Netherton each had two runs. Sarah Pamberton had a double in the game, while Netherton had a double and a homerun.
Madison Baskin, Hennessy Beaty, Angelina Dodd, and Blake Griffin each had a run for Tunks, with Alie Tunks coming in with two runs. Griffin had two doubles, while Dodd and Tunks had a homerun.
Tunks took the win, 6-4.
On May 19, Tunks was back in action, this time against the Diamonds.
Madison Baskin, Hennessy Beaty, Blake Griffin, Lakin Judkins, and Chloe Posten each scored a run for Tunks. Beaty and Posten each had a double, while Baskin had a double and a triple.
For the Diamonds, Aniston Farler, Cadee Griffith, Shayla Kirby, Reanna O’Connell, and Kennedy Polk each had a run, while Madison Martin and Kenlee Taylor each had two. Aly Griffith and Morgan Walker had three runs. Griffith, Polk, Taylor, and Walker each had a double, while Farler, Bella France, Griffith, and Taylor each had a triple. Taylor had one homerun, while Walker had two.
The Diamonds got the big victory, 15-5.
That same day, the 204 Fitness Center Buchanan team faced the Razors.
For Buchanan, Maria Beasley scored the team’s one and only run.
Briar Williams had one run for the Razors, with Shelby West getting two. Lacey England, Jacey Hatfield, Courtney London, and Mackenzie Sprague each had three runs. Hatfield had a double and a triple, while Sprague and West each had a triple.
The Razor won, 15-1.
Birdwell took on the Sawdusters that day, with Birdwell getting a big win.
Alyssa White, Sarah Pamberton, and Kaylee Vanstorch each had one run for Birdwell, while Addie Ahgaud, Gala Holbrook, Madison King, and Allison White each had two. Hailey Birdwell, Hannah Eaton, and Gracie Netherton each had three runs. Birdwell, Eaton, Pamberton, and White each had a double, while Waters had two. Birdwell, Eaton and Vanstorch each had a homerun.
For the Sawdusters, Emma Johnson and Layla Walker each had one run, with Madison Dawson and Briahna Murphy each getting two. Dawson had a double, while Johnson and Walker each had a triple.
Birdwell took the win, 20-6.
