DeKalb County Youth Baseball wrapped up their season last week, holding an awards ceremony for this season’s outstanding teams and players. Individual players were recognized with awards while tournament champions were announced.

The 2023 Coach Pitch Tournament Champions were the Giants, while the Royals were named as the Coach Pitch Season Champs. The Braves took the Season and Tournament titles in Minor League.

In the Coach Pitch League, Gunner Shephard was named MVP, while Sandler Sutton received the Eric Midgett Sportsmanship Award. The Golden Glove Award was presented to John Casey Midgett, while Titus Stone was presented the Mike Williams Memorial Highest Batting Average award.

In Minor League, the Eric Midgett Sportsmanship Award went to Ayden Buchanan, while the Mike Williams Memorial Highest Batting Average awards and MVP honor went to Zayne Thomas. The Golden Glove and Best Pitcher honor for Minor League went to Michael Fann. 

Eli Colwell was presented the Golden Glove Award in Major League, while the Eric Midgett Sportsmanship Award went to Jonah Strait. Landon Holmes was presented the Best Pitcher, Mike Williams Memorial Highest Batting Average, and MVP awards.
