DeKalb County was well represented at the Macon Country Cross Country meet on Sept. 27, when every member of the DeKalb Middle School cross country teams, both male and female, set personal records for the two-mile course during the meet.
The DMS boys placed first out of five competing teams, edging out Macon County by 11 points. Carly Vance finished second overall in the girls’ race, followed by Darrah Ramsey, who placed 13th out of a field of 25 girls.
Aaron Gottlied led the boys’ team, finishing second out of 55 runners, with a time of 12:47. Connor Vance was close behind in sixth place, Brayden Antoniak finished seventh, Braden Martin came in 11th, and Levi Driver crossed the finish line in 15th.
