The DeKalb Middle School Saints soccer team had a couple losses last week to some very powerful opponents.
On Tuesday, March 22, the Saints traveled to Avery Trace where they faced the Raiders. Unfortunately, the Saints would fall 9-0 against the powerhouse team, with the home team’s passing only rivaled by a high school team.
The following Friday, the Saints traveled to Algood where the match would be double goose eggs at halftime.
In the second half, the Saints gave up a foul above the box and the Redskins capitalized. They would make the score 1-0 with 15 minutes to go. Algood later added another goal and won 2-0.
Saints Head Coach Justin Nokes said, “DMS played tough against a very good opponent in Algood.”
