DMS Saints Soccer team continues with victories

The DeKalb Middle School Saints Soccer Team continued with their winning ways last week, getting two more wins in an impressive inaugural season start.
On Mar. 18, the Saints traveled to Putnam County where they took on a team from Cornerstone.
First half started off quick, with DMS scoring the first goal and not looking back. First half would finish with the Saints leading 8-0.
Second half would be even better, with the Saints adding nine more goals, and taking a win, 17-0.
Dylan Easterwood and Cristobal Flores each scored four goals, while Alec Reynolds got three. Luiz Hernandez had two goals, while Alan Munoz, Luke Bryant, Parker Gassaway, and Bill Miller each had one goal.
DMS would also win Junior Varsity game, 7-0.
On Mar. 21, the Saints were at home where they played Prescott. The game would start off good for DeKalb, but end in a close battle.
In the first half, the Saints struck quickly with two goals by Luiz Hernandez. Prescott would manage to come back and score one goal, but Dylan Easterwood would score two more for the Saints before halftime.  The Saints would be up, 4-1.
Hernandez would score again for DeKalb within the first five minutes of the second half, making the score 5-1, but in the last ten minutes of the game Prescott would come back scoring three goals, one of them accidentally by the DMS defense. The Saints would hold on to win, 5-4.
DMS had a total of 26 shots, and goalkeeper Omar Aldino had six saves on the night.
The DMS Saints Junior Varsity also won, 3-0.
