The DeKalb Middle School Lady Saints soccer team found ourselves in a track meet on Monday, August 22, as they traveled to Upperman to face the Lady Bees.

The Lady Saints found themselves in an early 2-0 hole, but DeKalb didn't give up and evened the score 2-2 by halftime.

DMS came out on fire in the second half, scoring two quick goals, and making the game 4-2. The Bees didn't give up either and evened the score 4-4. Lady Saints then scored to lead 5-4, but couldn't hold the lead as the Lady Bees put another one in the net with eight minutes left to go in the game. The final score would end in a 5-5 tie.

Alexa Acosta had four goals in the game, while Azul Rueda had one.

The Lady Saints then had to play on the following night at home versus Avery Trace, where they found themselves in an early 1-0 deficit after giving up a penalty kick.

After halftime the Lady Raiders scored again to make the score 2-0 in favor of the visiting team. The Lady Saints didn't give up as they scored a goal with one minute left to go in the game, making the final score 2-1.
