LSB ends season 12-0

The DeKalb Minor League was in action last week, winding down their 2014 season, with Liberty State Bank ending with a 12-0 record.
On June 17, Los Lobos took on Robert’s Ice in a game where Los Lobos took firm control in the third inning.
Kolter Kilgore and Axel Aldino each came in with runs in the first inning for Robert’s Ice, but Jathan Willoughby and Nate Crook each scored for Los Lobos.
Chandler Johnson put Los Lobos ahead in the second inning, then joined Silas Cross, David Judkins, Josh Moon, Jaden Johnson, Ty Panker, and Brett Walker for runs in the third.
Los Lobos came away with the 10-2 victory.
That same evening, Liberty State Bank faced off with Vicker’s Grave Service.
Brayden Antoniak, Levi Driver, Jordan Young, Lucas Hale, and Kobbe Clary each scored in the first inning for LSB, with Young coming home once more in the third.
Jeremy Boren and Diego Coronado each had runs in the second inning for Vicker’s. It was not enough. LSB got the win, 6-2.
On June 20, Liberty State Bank was back in action, this time against Robert’s Ice.
Levi Driver, Jordan Young, Brayden Antoniak, Isaac Knowles, Aiden Ramirez, and Kolten Kirby each touched home base for LSB in the first inning, while Antoniak scored again in the second. Ramirez and Kirby scored again in the third inning, while Antoniak and Knowles topped off the score in the fourth.
For Robert’s Ice, Matt Rowe had a run in the second inning, while Axel Aldino, Rowe, Hunter Cantrell, and Riley Palmer each scored in the fourth.
Liberty State Bank got the 11-5 victory, and ended their season unbeaten at 12-0.
That same evening, Vicker’s battled DeKalb Community Bank in a close one-point nail biter.
Drew Vickers started off the scoring, coming in with a run for DCB in the first inning.
Logan O’Conner, Gage Trapp, J.J. Pack, Avery Smith, and Justin Boren put Vicker’s ahead with runs in the third inning, while Vickers and Hendrix kept DCB close with runs in the third as well.
Hendrix and Conner Crabtree each scored for DCB in the fifth inning, but a run by J.J. Pack in the fifth gave Vickers the 6-5 victory.
