The DeKalb Middle School Saints football team held its annual football banquet last week and recognized some of its outstanding players and cheerleaders. The Saints took home the championship this season, going 10-0 throughout.

Bryson Redmon and Grant Slager were named Co-Most Improved Players at the DMS Saints Football Banquet, while Redmon was also named as an All-Conference selection.

The Best Lineman honors went to Jordan Schipp and Daniel Santizo, while the Offensive Player of the Year went to Gavin Frazier. Frazier was also an All-Conference selection.

William Soto was named the Defensive Player of the Year and also an All-Conference selection, while the Saints’ Award was presented to Levi Cripps. Cripps was also named as an All-Conference selection.

There were two Most Valuable Players announced with Collin Donnell and Reed Midgett each receiving the award.

The Saints’ Football Cheerleaders were also recognized with awards. Molly Sutton was named Most Improved, while Hayley Brown received Best Jumps. The Best Tumbler award went to Destiny Guinn, while Most Spirited went to Caroline Farmer. Lillie Williams won Best Dancer and Best All Around, while the Most Valuable Cheerleader honor was presented to Cora Cox.
