DMS Golf team finished the season at the District Championship at Pine Creek Golf Club in Mt. Juliet on Tuesday, April 30th with a score of 226. Over the course of the season, that began with matches in March and concluding with District the team averaged 221 with Lee Tramel leading the way most of the season with an average score of 52 for 9 holes.

Every player was eligible throughout the season to play in several home and away matches (12 match dates with at least two other schools competing at each match).

Coach Brian Koegler said, “I was extremely pleased with how much effort each player made during the season and blessed to have the support from all the families involved. I was very impressed with Nate Wilson this year, considering the fact that he had never swung a real golf club before around January this year.”

“I don't think of success or failure is looking at a team's win/loss record (we won about 60% of our matches), but by looking at whether the athlete(s) improves in overall ability from the beginning of the season to the end of the season.  According to that perspective, we had a very successful season and I will miss the boys moving on to high school next year and am looking forward to having another strong season next year, hopefully with several new players (both boys and girls). Go Saints Golf.”
