The DeKalb Middle School Saints soccer team is looking to be the team to beat as they continued their winning ways last week.

 

On Monday, March 22, the Saints were on the road, traveling to Overton County to face off against a tough team.

 

The game would be tied 1-1 at the half, with a goal from Bryan Aguirre. After a quick goal from the Saints' Juan Ortega, Overton answers back making the score 2-2.  

 

Ortega decided to take over after some great passes from the offense and scores two more to close out the game 4-2. With three goals in the game, Ortega got a hat trick in the last 20 minutes of play.

 

The JV team also won their match, 2-1, after a couple goals from Keice Hannah.

After a game cancellation on Thursday in a game against Algood, due to inclement weather, The Saints played host to Warren County on Friday.  

 

The Saints came out to play taking two goals early from Leo Delgado and Axel Aranda.

 

DMS didn't stop there as they tallied two more goals from Aranda and Ortega, taking the 4-0 win.

 

Goalie Martin Coronado and defense look solid on defense and record a clean sheet.

 

The Saints are currently 6-1 on the season as they cruise into Spring Break.
