Senior League Continues Fall Play
Baseball

There were some good games played last week as part of DeKalb Youth Baseball's Fall Senior League took to the field.

In the first game, the Braves took on the Sox, in what would be a blowout for the Braves. Westin Wright and Jackson Arnold put the Braves on the board in the first inning, while the Sox were held scoreless.

Grayson Looper would get the Sox on the board in the second inning, but it would be the only run for the game. Hunter Cantrell and Wright would ad runs for the Braves in the third, while Wright, Jackson Arnold, Jordan Parker, Matt Rowe, Alex Lemons, and Bryson Arnold would each score in the fifth. Jackson Arnold would add one more run in the sixth inning, giving the Braves an 11-1 win.

Donnell was the winning pitcher, with Wright in relief. Young threw for the Sox, with Wesley Kent in relief.

Later, the Yankees took on the Sox in a very close game.

Hunter Cantrell, Carson Vincent, and Ty Panker, put the Yankees on the board in the first inning, while Devin Fish, Landon Colwell, Konner Young, JR Coronada and Gavin Cooper had runs for the Sox.

Jacob Hendrix and Cantrell added two more runs for the Yankees in the second inning, while Colwell and Young touched home plate for the Sox.

It was Hendrix and Cantrell again for the Yankees in the third inning, while the Sox were held scoreless. The game was tied 7-7.

Hendrix, Cantrell, John Hendrix, and Carter Willow scored for the Yankees in the fourth inning, with Coronado and Cooper scoring again for the Sox.

Willow scored once more for the Yankees in the fifth inning, while Young and Gracin South each had a run for the Sox. In the end it would be too little, too late for the Sox. The Yankees took the 12-11 win.

Brad Hale was the winning pitcher, with John Hendrix taking over in the third. Landon Colwell threw for the Sox, with Gavin Cooper in the third.
