The Tigerettes took the Region 4-AA softball crown Wednesday night in Smithville, defeating the Livingston Academy Lady Blue Devils 4-1. In another epic battle of the pitching arms between Lady Blue Devil Sidney Pennycuff and DeKalb’s Kayley Caplinger, DeKalb scored four runs on six hits against LA Wednesday, committing two errors. The Tigerettes took the lead early when Tyra Graham made her way across the plate to give DeKalb a 1-0 lead.
