The 2020 Region 3, Class 4A Football Superlatives were announced last week with seventeen DeKalb County High School Tigers players receiving honors, and four coaches recognized.

 

Tiger Quarterback Axel Aldino was named Most Valuable Player in region, while Wide Receiver Desmond Nokes was named as the region’s Co-Offensive MVP along with Macon County Running Back Ethan Jenkins. Tiger Linebacker Isaiah Harrington was named the Defensive MVP.

 

Isaac Knowles was named the Most Outstanding Defensive Back, while Caven Ponder received the Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman honor. T.J. Alexander was named Most Outstanding Wide Receiver, with Jasper Kleparek receiving the Most Outstanding Kicker award.

 

Tiger Head Coach Steve Trapp has been named as the Coach of the Year, while Michael Shaw is the Offensive Assistant Coach of the Year. Thomas Cagle was named the Defensive Assistant Coach of the Year, and Corey Rathbone received the Special Teams Coach honors.

 

Other Tiger players were named to the All Region Team, with Evan Jones, Peyton Leaf, Diego Coronado, Bryan Portillo, Ean Jones, and Aiden Curtis to the 1st Team, and

Colby Barnes, Josh May, Antwon McCoy, and Wil Ferris to the All Region 2nd Team.
