The DeKalb County Tigers Soccer Team dealt with wet weather last week, having to scramble their away game schedule. Overall the team split the games with some very good teams.

Last Tuesday's game at Stone Memorial was postponed until the following day, but the Tigers made the most of it, taking the game 1-0 in double overtime.

"It was a great game," Coach Dylan Kleparek told the Smithville Review. "Both teams played very hard and in the end we were able to capitalize on a great play. Tanner Myers scored the goal. This was a big district win for us."

Last Thursday's scheduled game against Smyrna was also postponed until the following day. This time the results were not what the Tigers were hoping for with a 5-0 loss, but the team got some good experience against a powerhouse team.

"We play big schools like this to show our weaknesses so we can improve," Coach K told the Review. "I'm proud of the way my players played with heart and good attitude."
