Brothers helping Brothers, a benefit for two local firefighters, will be held on Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. at Evins Park Open Air Stage in downtown Smithville. The Smithville Fire Department humbly requests your attendance in support of Lieutenant Anthony Wright and Firefighter Patrick Edge. Both men have undergone serious illness and medical expenses within the last year.

There will be a gospel singing, a silent auction and food by Roy Merriman of Fireman One Barbeque. Tickets are $7.50 at the door, or may be purchased in advance from any firefighter.

Businesses or individuals who wish to donate cash or auction items may contact Smithville Fire Chief Charlie Parker at 597-4141 or stop by First Bank and donate any amount to Brothers helping Brothers. Rain date Sept. 7 at 3 p.m.
