The sheriff’s department has arrested a local man after allegedly discovering that he was a fugitive fromjustice in Arkansas.
According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, Joshua Lynn Mullican, 29, was charged with being a fugitive from justice on June 11.
Sheriff Ray said investigators learned from the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) that Mullican was being sought for committing a forced entry to a home in Arkansas.
His bond was set at $2,500 and he will appear in court on June 19.
Crystal Shandale Deck, 37, was charged with a third offense of driving on a suspended license and issued citations for driving on roadways laned for traffic, no insurance, and failure to carry registration on June 11.
The sheriff said that a deputy spotted a Toyota Camry traveling west on the Highway 70, and saw vehicle with an expired license plate leave its lane of travel. After stopping the car, the deputy said Deck, the driver, could not produce a valid driver's license.
A check reportedly revealed that her license was suspended in April 2012 for failure to provide insurance. Her first driving on suspended offense was in June 2013, and the second offense was in November 2013. Ray said her license plate expired in April, 2013.
Her bond was set at $3,000 and she will appear in court on June 19.
Sharon Joyce Malone, 40, was charged with driving on a suspended license on June 13.
Ray said a deputy with prior knowledge that Malone had a warrant against her saw her driving a motor vehicle. The officer reportedly conducted a traffic stop, and a check revealed her license was suspended for failure to satisfy a citation.
Her bond was set at $1,500, and she will appear in court on July 10.
