An overturned log truck on Allen Ferry Road resulted in only minor injuries to a Baxter man Monday. Hobert Stover managed to remove himself from the wreckage after he reportedly swerved to avoid a crash with an on-coming vehicle which had crossed the center line. The truck dropped two wheels off the roadway, overturning and dumping Stover’s load of logs. onto the side of the road and in a field. The truck came to rest on its side in the highway. The accident is being investigated by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Members of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department and The DeKalb County Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
