A rollover accident on New Home Road Monday afternoon resulted in a 19-year-old being airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center, and a pregnant 17-year-old passenger being transported to the emergency room. According to Trooper Bobby Johnson of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, David Hacker was traveling south in a 2000 Chevy Blazer when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway on the right side, hit a culvert, and overturned. Hacker was ejected from the vehicle. The unidentified female, who was apparently wearing her seatbelt, was taken to DeKalb Community Hospital by EMS. Hacker was issued citations for failure to maintain his lane of travel, for not wearing a seatbelt, and for violation of the financial responsibility law (no proof of insurance).
