William Stacy Matthews, 38, has been charged with two counts of forgery.
Matthews allegedly forged a name to the title and registration of a 1999 GMC van in October, registering the vehicle in the name of the victim.
He reportedly admitted to forging the victim's name. The case was investigated by a criminal detective of the Sheriff's Department.
His bond was set at $10,000, and he will appear in court on Jan. 23.
Jessie Eugene Thomas, 35, was charged with a violation of an order of protection on Jan. 13.
Sheriff Patrick Ray said a deputy dispatched to a Toad Road home found Thomas sitting in a vehicle parked halfway in the yard. The sheriff said the woman who had obtained the order of protection against Thomas was in the front yard of the residence when the officer arrived.
She allegedly told the deputy that Thomas was on the premises trying to speak to her in violation of the order of protection. He was arrested and taken to the sheriff's department for booking.
His bond was set at $2,500.
Terry Lynn Burton, 41 of Silver Point was charged with driving under the influence on Jan. 14.
Ray said a deputy responded to Wolf Creek Road to investigate a report of a vehicle driven into a neighbor's yard. The officer reportedly spoke to Burton, who allegedly had a strong odor of alcohol on his person and slurred speech.
Ray said Burton admitted to drinking and driving into his neighbor's yard. Burton submitted to, but performed poorly on, all field sobriety tasks.
His bond was set at $1,500, and he will appear in court on Jan. 23.
Jessica French Hale, 31, was charged with theft of property under $500 on Jan. 23. Ray said Hale took $120 from the cash register of a business on Dale Ridge Road without the owner's consent. She allegedly admitted to taking $80 from the register.
The case was investigated by a criminal detective of the Sheriff's Department.
Her bond was set at $1,500, and she will appear in court on Jan. 23.
Vanessa Ann Murphy, 35, was charged with driving under the influence on Jan. 16. She was also cited for failure to maintain her lane of travel.
The sheriff said Murphy was operating a motor vehicle on Highway 70 when she was stopped for failing to maintain her lane of travel. Her speech was allegedly slurred and she reportedly had difficulty keeping her eyes open and was unsteady on her feet.
Murphy submitted to, but performed poorly on, all field sobriety tasks. She also submitted to a blood test, according to the sheriff. Officials believe Murphy had been taking narcotics.
Her bond was set at $1,500, and she will appear in court on Feb. 20.
Nelson Gregory Hendrixson, 34, was charged with domestic assault on Jan. 17.
Hendrixson allegedly assaulted his wife at their home, hitting her in the mouth with his fist and causing a severe cut on her lip.
Ray said the woman tripped and fell during the incident, and while she was on the floor Hendrixson allegedly kicked her in the body and legs.
She allegedly had bruising on her left shoulder and left leg, requiring her to be treated at the emergency room.
His bond was set at $2,500, and he will appear in court on Jan. 23.
