A 28 year old Lebanon man airlifted after falling from a ladder while constructing a house on Skyline Drive Friday.
Captain Dustin Johnson of the Smithville-DeKalb County Rescue Squad told the Review  that David French, 28, was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center with serious injuries after falling from the top deck of the two-story structure.
French, a member of a construction crew building the hillside home reportedly fell 20-30 feet while attempting to lift a beam into place.
The rescue squad was summoned to the scene to retrieve French from the steep hillside the house is perched upon, and used ropes to reach the injured man, then brought him to the top of the hill in a Stokes basket.
Johnson said members of the DeKalb County Volunteer Fire Department and DeKalb EMS assisted in removing French from the hillside where he fell.
EMS then transported French to a helicopter, which landed in the Holiday Haven Road area, where he was airlifted.
