Motlow State Community College will host its annual area-wide College and Career Fair on Thursday, Sept. 7, from 9:00-11:30 a.m. inside Nisbett Center on the Moore County campus. The event is held in cooperation with the Tennessee Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO). The dual fair targets area public and private high school and homeschool students, Motlow students, as well as the general public. Admission is free.

"The college and career fair continues as an annual public service event that provides a vital service to area high schools, homeschool cooperatives, and the general public,” according to Brenda Cannon, director of special events at Motlow. "The event is a one-stop shop that brings together more than 50 vendors in a central location to showcase public, private, proprietary, and technical colleges and universities as well as all branches of the US armed services under one roof. Event attendees can gain a wealth of information regarding opportunities in higher and technical education while speaking directly with a representative from each institution.” 

To support the college and career fair, Annie Trout of the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation will make presentations on financial aid with an emphasis on HOPE and Tennessee Promise scholarships. Presentations will be in Eoff Hall inside Powers Auditorium at 9, 9:50, and 10:40 a.m. Reservations are needed to attend the presentations and can be made by calling Cannon at 931-393-1548 or emailing bcannon@mscc.edu.
