Joshua Dewayne Brown and Ashley Nichole Tittle were each charged as coconspirators with 13 counts of burglary.

A McMinnville man and a Liberty woman were arrested by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, Sept. 12, charged with a string of burglaries and thefts over the last two months in the Dowelltown, Liberty and Alexandria area of DeKalb County.
Joshua Dewayne Brown, 31, of McMinnville and Ashley Nichole Tittle, 24, of Liberty were each charged as coconspirators with 13 counts of burglary and aggravated burglary, 13 counts of theft and four counts of vandalism.
In addition to the shared charges, Brown was also charged with unlawfully and intentionally attempting to flee from law enforcement officers and disobeying verbal commands to stop.
“They were apparently homeless and living in a tent inside an outbuilding,” said Sheriff Patrick Ray. “They had been going around stealing from everybody.”
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, the couple broke into cars, houses, outbuildings and even a church in their crime spree taking a shotgun, change, medication, big-screen televisions, a compound bow, a handgun, ammunition and even a guitar. The vandalism was a result of the pair breaking into cars and structures they wanted to gain access to.
Brown is being held on a bond of $126,000 while Tittle’s bond is $122,500. A court date has been set for Sept. 28.
