Smithville mayor takes oath

The oath of office was taken by Mayor-elect Josh Miller Friday afternoon in ceremonies held at city hall. Miller officially becomes mayor  Saturday morning, Sept. 1. Aldermen Gayla Hendrixs and Brandon Cox were also given their oaths by city attorney Vestor Parsley.
