A new member has been elected to the DeKalb Telephone Cooperative board of directors.
Jean Chumbley Ferrell defeated incumbent Greg Rogers from the Woodbury Exchange during the annual membership meeting held at the fairgrounds in Alexandria Saturday. Two other incumbent members, Charles Dwight Vinson of the Milton Exchange and Terry McPeak of the Norene Exchange ran unopposed. All three of the newly-elected directors will serve three-year terms.
The board of directors will consist of McPeak, Vinson, Ferrell, Ronnie Garrison of Smithville, Randy Campbell of Liberty, Bennie Curtis of Alexandria, Jimmy Oakley of Temperance Hall, Roy Nelson Pugh of Auburntown, David Parker of Woodland, and James Dillard, Jr. of Gordonsville.
